FIBA World Championships

One thing I wanted to mention on last nights show was the USA world team and the FIBA World Championships. Today the US beat Russia 89-79 to advance to the Semifinals to play Lithuania. Even though The US has done well in the Olympic games they tend to struggle in this tournament and haven't won since 1994. Looks like this year could end that drought as Coach "K" has revamped how the US world team goes about there business in these Championships.

  1. Team USA captured there first FIBA world title yesterday since 1994 defeating Turkey 81-64 to take home the gold. This is a great feat as many were calling this the "B" team as many of the NBA star players such as Lebron, Kobe, And D-Wade did not take part in this tournament. Kevin Durant has a great tournament and scored 28 in the final to lead his team. This should bode well for him and the Oklahoma City Thunder as I believe he will take his game to a whole nother level.
