Prove your worth: Justin Harrell
It's pretty obvious that since Justin Harrell came to Green Bay as their 1st round pick (16th overall) he has been a bust. Since 2007 he has played only 13 games started 2 with 28 tackles and has yet to record a sack. His career has been injury filled missing half of the 2007 season with torn biceps that happened back in his days in Tennessee. In 08 Harrel spent training camp on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list. On August 25, he was placed on the Reserve/PUP list, forcing him to miss the first 6 weeks of the regular season, until he was activated replacing Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila. Finally in 09 he injured his back in training camp forcing him to miss the entire 2009 NFL season.
Now its go time. With the indefinate suspension of Johnny Jolly the Green Bay Packers don't have the depth to wait for Harrell to be heathy. He needs to man up and prove he can still salvage a decent NFL career. Most people know that Harrell has the talent to perform well, now for the Packers and even his own sake they can only hope that his body is not longer like glass. He will also have to get playing time over guys like rookie Mike Neal. One prediction, though, that I will make that if Harrell stays heathy he will be a vital part of the Green Bay Packers defense in 2010 and shadow the years of bust talk.
