Goody's Top 5 Places if I were Peyton

The Hunt of Peyton Manning has been on for a little over a week, and there seem to be many "hot spots" on where he will land next. Out of the teams that are interested/in need of a QB, these are my top 5 spots that I would go if I had all the options that he seems to have at this time.

5. Miami Dolphins: I originally had them higher on my list even after the Dolphins traded Marshall to the Bears. However when Garcon signed with the Redskins and Wayne resigning with the Colts, it makes me wonder....who are they going to get for Manning to throw to?

4. Arizona Cardinals: Him being on the same team as Fitzgerald would be pretty nuts! The only bad thing is that they have a lot tied into Kevin Kolb, and even though it's a fairly easy division they still have to best the 49ers who made it to the NFC Championship game last season.

3. Tennessee Titans: I'm sure Bud Adams will do whatever it takes to get Manning on his teams, even if that means Manning "taking control" like he did in the Caldwell days with the Colts. The only down side is that the Titans already have two decent QBs in Hasselback and Locker, and do they want to give up on Locker so soon?

2. Denver Broncos: The only team that is on his current radar that made it to the post season. They have a young up and coming defense that had to play out of their minds to keep them in games with the low scoring QB they currently have, and imagine how those young WR will look when they actually have a QB who can throw the back with pin like accuracy....plus their potent running game will be opened up more. Might be a good choice while a lot of the other teams in the AFC West are still making the upward climb.

1. San Francisco 49ers: This is team didn't talk to Manning at this time, but Peyton is willing to talk to other teams that he hasn't met with already. 49ers have a excellent defense and running game, after making it to the NFC Championship game last season it appears the only piece this team needs is a game changing QB. Manning would be a much better option to win now before you tie even more money into Alex Smith and watch the Cardinals, Rams and Seahawks pass you by over the next couple of years.

2013 NASCAR Dodge Charger

Since I posted the 2013 Ford Fusion a little over a month ago, I thought I should keep it going and post the sexy 2013 Dodge Charger that was debuted this past weekend at Las Vegas. I hope some teams step up and switch to Dodge, would be a shame to only see one of these on the track next season!

Goody's Opinion: Saints Bounty

After a long investigation the NFL has found that former New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams had a bounty for his players to take out opposing players during games for a small cash prize. As I have seen and heard many of your thoughts on the matter and I thought I would share my opinions as well.

First off I heard many people compare this to the Patriots "Spygate" saying that this is much worse, and I am not so sure to jump on that ship. I think it varies on how you look at it. From a moral stand point the Saint's Bounty is much worse as hitting guys to hurt them, it's kind of like breaking the gentleman's agreement between the players. Spygate I still feel is a little worse as far as a cheating to gain an advantage standpoint.

Every time I hear an interview with the likes of Ray Lewis or other defensive greats it seems like they will always say one thing, "when I go out there I intend to knock a guy out of the game when I hit him" So I feel as long as they are paying the bounties on hits that are legal and knocking them out of the game is not as bad as if they were telling them to take them out at any cost (ex: Charles Martins hit on Jim McMahon) Some teams need to have a badge of honor type incentive to motivate them into tackling better, see 2011 Green Bay Packers defense!, and that's all this bounty could have been. Most of the hits that the Saint's had during the time in question were legal hits. To me this is the same as college teams like the Ohio Buckeyes putting stickers on their helmet for making a great play, that the bounty was more for incentive to play and tackle better rather than actually taking an opponent out of the game.

I know even besides my point I do know that NFL coaches who have a bounty incentive for it's players is still illegal and that the Saint's should be punished, along the lines of what the Patriots got back in 2007 with Spygate. What really drives me crazy is people calling for everyones head ,like Sean Peyton, to be fired. I know that they knew about it, but the other reason why it is such a big deal to the NFL is because they have to cover their ass. With all the players filing injury lawsuits they have to make an example out of the Saint's to prevent any other lawsuits against them for this being a violent game. (no duh right?)
